Today we are introducing the Mythbuntu 8.04 release candidate. Please see updated screenshots at: http://mythbuntu.org/image/tid/10

It is very important to note that this release is not compatible with Mythbuntu 7.10 or any other MythTV 0.20.2 based distribution.

Changes from Beta:

Artwork

* All of the artwork on the CD has been improved upon. Also, the website has been refreshed.

MythTV improvements

* MythTV knows how to send shutdown and restart commands via dbus/hal.
* Firewire improvements

Diskless support

* Diskless support is now in RC. The MCC interface for it is now available, as well as an alternate disk. If you experience problems with the MCC interface or with Mythbuntu-diskless in general, go here:

Known Issues

* If you're using the "diskless image server" mode when installing from the alternate CD, you need to be aware of two issues right now: It is possible that the creation of the diskless image will fail. Just select the menu entry again and it'll work. After the installation is finished, you need to run 'sudo dpkg-reconfigure mythbuntu-diskless-server' in a terminal to enable the NFS share.
